Bus services are available from Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, as well as from other popular destinations such as Bangkok in Thailand and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. Journey times may vary depending on distance and border crossing procedures.


BY PLANE: The most convenient way to get to Siem Reap is to land at Siem Reap International Airport (REP). Many international airlines offer direct flights to Siem Reap from major Asian cities, including Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Ho Chi Minh City. From the new airport, you can easily reach the city center by taxi or van.


BY BOAT: if you prefer a scenic route, you can travel to Siem Reap by boat along the Tonle Sap Lake. Boat services operate during the rainy season (generally from July to November) when the water level is sufficient.
